I have been able to lead from both piano or guitar for gatherings such as Sunday corporate worship, dorm meetings on campus, hall worship nights, internship meetings, and other contexts, getting experience in musical leadership (rehearsing), administration (scheduling, Planning Center), and pastoral care (comments, devotionals).

My background has been very diverse in terms of musical styles and experiences. I have participated in contexts that include orchestra, choir, and jazz band, have led a choir, orchestra, and Sunday band, and have acquired musical skills such as arranging (choir and small ensemble), involvement in recording, touring, and others. I have received extensive personal training and lessons in piano (16 years), cello (11 years), acoustic guitar (7 years), and voice (5 years).

It has been an immense blessing to be a vital part of the ministries of both Mission Road Bible Church (21 years, Prairie Village, KS) and Sovereign Grace Church of Louisville (4 years, Louisville, KY). My involvement at MRBC has included extensive time with pastors (especially the music pastor Aaron Johnson), book discussions, leadership training, hospital visits, and extensive service in the music ministry (leading, choir, orchestra, etc.). At Sovereign Grace during my college years, I have been able to intern with Bob Kauflin, and participate in setup and tear-down team (first 2 years without a building),  Sunday planning committee (over Zoom), music team (cello and piano), and tour twice with Sovereign Grace Music. I have also had the privilege of preaching on a number of occasions, taking Preaching I & II at Boyce.

I have gained experience extensively in Planning Center, SongSelect (CCLI), PowerPoint, Finale & Sibelius (music notation software) and various music resources that are vital to a music ministry. I have also learned how to use basic functions of Logic Pro (recording music), Final Cut Pro (video editing), software instruments (MainStage/Logic), use of recording equipment (condenser mics, Scarlet Solo, Midi keyboard), and Logos Bible Software. Additionally, I have gained enough experience to have good knowledge of a church sound system, sound board, and stage management.

I will be capping off my undergraduate degree at Boyce College with a Business Minor, which will include skills such as non-profit leadership, financial accounting, marketing, and other valuable business skills.
